The first toy from Vancouver company Chocolate Soop, DCTO was designed by Dacosta Bayley and is modeled after the traditional Japanese Daruma. From the box:
“This curiously limbless, traditionally red-cloaked figure with unpainted eyes is used for personal dedication to a new venture such as starting a business, beginning a new path in life, or given as a gift for celebrations like New Years, weddings and birthdays.”
A wonderfully engaging and tactile shape, DCTO is about 6.5” tall (and almost as wide!) and comes in 3 common colours: Temple Red, Emperor’s Yellow, and Sumi-E Black. Also be sure to check out the very limited Sakura Pink and Stone Garden Grey!
